Convenient first step

Ask for a photo or video survey.

A remote survey can help an electrician understand your property before deciding whether a site visit is necessary. Request the option in our enquiry form, and we can discuss it with a suitable partner if one is available.

What might the installer ask to see?

Parking and charger position

A photograph of where the car parks and where you'd ideally like the charger mounted.

Possible cable route

Photos of the accessible outside route between the charger position and the building, without moving or opening electrical equipment.

Electrical supply

If requested by the installer, a clear photograph of the closed consumer unit and visible meter area. Never remove covers or touch wiring.

How the photos are shared

Please do not upload personal documents, utility bills, meter serial numbers or household photographs through the initial enquiry form. The website does not collect survey images at this stage. If an installer agrees that a remote survey is suitable, they can provide a secure way to send only the pictures they actually need, and explain how they handle them.

The installer decides whether photographs are sufficient or an in-person electrical inspection is required. UK EV Charging is an introduction agency, not the electrical surveyor.
